As of 2023, the technology team has implemented a new version of PrinterLogic that is now web-based, PrinterLogic SaaS (Systems as a Service) Portal, and retains the same features as the previous version.
Some features of this software include:
- Automatically installs the primary printers and copiers for your school
- Rise Staff will have copiers and printers at Rise Academy automatically installed on their computers
- Automatically adds and removes the primary printers and copiers for any other site or school that you visit.
- For example: If you are part of the NCA Staff in Newark and travel to KCNHS in Camden, you will automatically have the primary printers and copiers for that location.
- Allows you to add any printer or copier through an easy-to-use web portal.
This Help Center Article will guide you through the process of navigating the new version of PrinterLogic.
PrinterLogic Portal
- At the bottom right hand corner of your screen, you should see an Up Arrow icon to bring up the System Tray.
- Click the PrinterLogic Icon once to launch the PrinterLogic SaaS Portal. This action launches the following URL on your browser: https://ktaf.printercloud.com/
- You can also bookmark this site to easily access the portal.
Adding Printers
- Launching the PrinterLogic SaaS Portal from following the previous step will automatically open to the folder of your current location (if you are currently at one of our school locations or Room 9). From here, you can navigate to the floor the printer or copier is located.
- Click the Printer of your choice and it will prompt you to install the printer. In the dialogue box that pops up, click Yes to install the printer.
- You will see an installing window; then a confirmation notice that the printer has been installed. Click OK to continue once the printer has been successfully installed.
You will now be able to print to the selected printer.
View Your Installed Printers
- From the Systems Tray, right click the PrinterLogic icon.
- Left click on View Installed Printers...
- This will open your Printers Window. In this window, you can view your installed printers.
Refresh Configuration
If you change school locations throughout the day or arrive on site in the morning but don’t have printers installed through automatic deployment, you may need to manually refresh the printer configuration to force the printers to be installed automatically.
Please note that not all printers and copiers are automatically deployed to your computer. Some printers such as School Leader, Social Worker, and others may only be available to certain staff members or require a one-time manual installation via PrinterLogic SaaS Portal.
- From the Systems Tray, right click the PrinterLogic icon.
- Left click Refresh Configurations.
- Check to see if your printers have updated by Viewing your Installed Printers. This may take several minutes. If you are experiencing issues with installing printers, please open a ticket by emailing technology@kippnj.org.
