Error: TestNav detected another application - Error 3005
Problem:
- TestNav detected that another application attempted to become the active window
- When another applications attempts to become active during testing, TestNav shuts down.
- This can be caused by the same login being used on two computers or two simultaneous sessions.
- This may happen because the login session has expired or the student’s test has already been submitted.
Solution:
- The Test Administrator must resume the student's test. Unless absolutely necessary, the test should be resumed on the same device the student started the test on.
- If you feel it's necessary to swap the student device, make sure the student has properly logged out of the current TestNav session. Once complete, the Test Administrator must resume the student's test on the new device.
- If the issue persists with the student, actively monitor the student for mistakenly (or intentionally) striking key combinations that would cause the session to end.
