- A pop-up window will appear - depending on the size of the video, this can take anywhere from 5-10 minutes for the trimmed video to appear under Files.
- If it still doesn’t appear after 10 minutes, then please refresh the web page.
- You should now have 2 videos attached to the case.
Reminder - When trimming and redacting, after trimming the video first, label the video “_trimmed” and then after redacting, label it as “Trim and Redacted”

- At the right of the trimmed video, click on the 3 dots and click on Trim and Redact.

- It will display “Opening Project” and then “Importing Video. Please be patient as it imports - this may take up to 10-15 minutes, possibly longer, depending on the size of the project.
- The Video Editor will automatically detect faces. This process is not the best, so manual redaction is strongly recommended.
- Click on the + icon to the right of Mask Video.
- A mask window will appear at the top left. Click and hold the middle of the mask window to drag it over to the individual’s face.
- Click and hold the corner of the mask window to size it appropriately.
- Click and hold the directional button in the upper right hand corner of the mask window to move the box to keep up with the target as the video plays. (Once you click it, the video should start playing slowly so you can keep up with the target as it moves throughout the video.)
- If you wish to add another mask, simply bring the video cursor back to the beginning of the video and then repeat.
- Once you’re finished, click on Create video.
- You can check the redacted video by clicking on Play.
- Once you’re finished redacting, you can then attach the video to a case by clicking on the dropdown. Select your case and then click Save.
- Click on Home and then go back to the case.
- Ensure that you remove the original video (non-blurred) from the case by clicking on the checkbox and then clicking on Remove. The purpose of this is to share ONLY the redacted version of the original video
