All teachers of KIPP Miami Inc., are required to be certified in their subject area prior to the start of the school year. While everyone's path to certification may be different, you will likely need to complete all of the following steps.
- Submit an online application
- Submit official transcripts for graduate and undergraduate degrees
- Pass rigorous certification exams
- Submit out-of-state certificates
The following is a streamlined overview of the certification process in the state of Florida. Please use this guide and the website below to begin taking steps toward certification immediately.
Please note that the certification process takes up to 12 weeks to complete (and sometimes longer).

Certification Overview:
There are currently two types of certificates offered in Florida, a Temporary and a Professional certificate. Your eligibility for either certificate depends on your education, employment, and prior certification background. You must have achieved one of these two certificates in order to work at KIPP Miami, Inc.

Check the status of your certification via Florida DOE Online Licensing Service and Send a copy of your certification to humanresources@kipp nj.org ASAP (by April 16, 2018). |
