- Log into PowerSchool Admin for your region
- Change the School drop down on the top right to the school that the student attends
- Search for the student and select their name
- On the left navigation, under Enrollment, select Special Programs
- Click the New button on the top of that screen
- On the New Special Program Enrollment screen, enter the following (see screenshot below):
- In the Comment field, enter one of the following values ONLY:
- Medical
- OSS
- Court-ordered
- The day the student started home instruction
- The day the student will return to school (IMPORTANT NOTE: If you do not know the student's return date, either approximate it and return later to update, or if the window of time is indefinite or unclear, set this date to the last day of the school year and update it once you know when the student is returning)
- Enter the student's current grade level
- Select Home Instruction
- In the Comment field, enter one of the following values ONLY:
- Hit Submit
- The Home Instruction Tracker and the student's designation in DeansList will update the next morning—the PowerSchool Quick Lookup page will update immediately
