Summary
Quick Export is used to export Student data for the current student selection. In addition to allowing administrators to export data from the Students table, data from related tables may also be exported via Quick Export using various Data Access Tags.
Details
- Login to the PowerSchool /admin portal
- From the Start Page, select the desired students
- Select Quick Export from Functions, or Navigate to Start Page > Special Functions > Importing & Exporting > Quick Export
- Enter the fields you'd like to export, and how you'd like the records to be delimited.  Copy from an example below.

- Click Submit and open the file that is exported in Excel. Use the steps below to learn how to automatically export and open in Excel
How to open export files in Excel
- Always use Google Chrome
- Export information from PowerSchool using Quick Export
- Click Ctrl+J to access downloads in Google Chrome
- Select Show in Folder
- In the Downloads folder, right-click the file (student.export.text)
- Choose Open With, and click Choose Program
- Find and click Microsoft Excel
- Select Always use the selected program to open this kind of file
