As you transition out of employment with KIPP TEAM and Family, TEAM Academy Charter Schools, KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy, or KIPP Miami Schools, please note that your UnitedHealthcare medical, dental, and/or vision coverage will end on the last day of the month in which your employment ends.
For example: If your last day of employment is June 22, your coverage will end on June 30. Beginning July 1, you will have the option to continue your benefits through COBRA.
COBRA materials will be sent to you by our COBRA administrator, UnitedHealthcare, within 7–10 business days following your coverage end date. Please note that our office does not manage this process directly. If you have any questions or need support, you may contact UnitedHealthcare using the contact information provided in the COBRA materials.
If you choose to enroll in COBRA, your coverage will be retroactive to the day after your active benefits end. You may elect to continue all, some, or none of your current benefits (medical, dental, vision). You can also make changes at any point—for example, you may cancel medical coverage but keep dental and vision, or vice versa.
