This article provides steps to determine whether your Windows computer is an Intune-managed or Kaseya-managed computer. These 2 device types are managed by different software deployment systems which may result in you needing to follow different procedures specified by the Technology team.
Firstly, if your device model number (which is printed below the screen on the laptop) is X390, X395, X13, then you have an Intune device. You do not need to follow the steps below.
Alternatively, instead of following the steps in this article, you can reference the KTAF staff device type article (which has been updated on July 22, 2021) to check whether you have an Intune or Kaseya device.
Otherwise, please follow this guide to check device type manually.
- Click the start menu.
- Type in "About"
- Click "About your PC"
- Look at the Device Name field
- If it starts with "KNJ-" or "MIA-", then your device is an Intune device.
- If it starts with anything other than "KNJ-" or "MIA-" (e.g. "R9-" "R10-") then your device is managed by Kaseya and is a non-Intune device.
- If it starts with "KNJ-" or "MIA-", then your device is an Intune device.
