How to overwrite existing schedule
Schedules cannot be modified or deleted once the pay period and timecard is locked.
If you need to overwrite the current schedule assigned to an employee, open the three lines menu located on the top left of your Workforce Manager home page > Schedule > Schedule Planner.
Search for the employee’s name OR group by Job Title > click the checkbox to the left of the employee(s) name > right click on the employee’s name > select Schedule Pattern.
- The Schedule Pattern window will open and default to the assigned Pattern Template. Click the down arrow in the tab for the assigned template > Edit.
- Select “Overwrite Pattern” > Apply.
- On the edit screen, click the Pattern Template dropdown.
- Search and select the template you need to reassign to the employee(s). Click Yes on the confirmation window.
- You will see the template automatically applied to the day(s) of the week.
- On the left, enter the new Start Date (if needed).
- For End Date, select the “Specify Date” radio button and enter the new end date (if needed).
- Click Apply.
- You will be taken back to the Schedule Planner page and see the new Pattern Template applied to the employee’s schedule. Click Save.
How to modify an employee’s existing schedule
If you need to make a change to an employee’s schedule (effective on a specific day), open the three lines menu located on the top left of your Workforce Manager home page > Schedule > Schedule Planner.
Search for the employee’s name OR group by Job Title > click the checkbox to the left of the employee(s) name > right click on the employee’s name > select Schedule Pattern.
- The Schedule Pattern window will open and default to the assigned Pattern Template. Click the down arrow in the tab for the assigned template > Edit.
- Select “Modify As Of Date” > Select the effective date for the new schedule > Apply.
- You will see a second tab appear on the edit screen with effective dates for the new schedule. Click the Pattern Template dropdown.
- Search and select the template you need to reassign to the employee(s). Click Yes on the confirmation window.
- You will see the template automatically applied to the day(s) of the week.
- On the left, the Start Date will show the effective date of the new schedule.
- For End Date, select the “Specify Date” radio button and enter the new end date (if needed).
- Click Apply.
- You will be taken back to the Schedule Planner page and see the new Pattern Template applied to the employee’s schedule, effective on the date selected above. Click Save.
How to delete schedule
If you need to remove a schedule assigned to an employee, open the three lines menu located on the top left of your Workforce Manager home page > Schedule > Schedule Planner.
Search for the employee’s name OR group by Job Title > click the checkbox to the left of the employee(s) name > right click on the employee’s name > select Schedule Pattern.
- The Schedule Pattern window will open and default to the assigned Pattern Template.
- Click the down arrow in the tab for the assigned template > Delete.
- If a work day has passed since the schedule was assigned to the employee, the Warning window will display. Select an end date for the schedule and click Yes.
- On the Schedule Pattern screen, you will see the end date automatically applied. Click Apply.
- On the Schedule Planner page, the assigned template will be removed. Click Save.
