Stolen Device, First Steps
Has a Staff Member's device gotten lost, stolen, or destroyed in a fire and needs a replacement?
In order to receive a replacement from their on-site Tech Specialist; the Staff member must file a Police Report and provide it to the Tech.
If there are any available - a loaner device may be given out while waiting for the report. When the Tech has received the required documentation of the incident, he/she will provide a copy to their respective Manager and DSO to keep on record.
Receiving a Replacement Device
Please keep in mind; the device you will receive to replace the lost, stolen or destroyed in a fire, etc one - will be based off the current AVAILABLE inventory.
1. What does this mean?
- Devices may be from former KIPP staff employees (Used)
- The device given out may be the an older or newer model.
2. Recovering your files
- When assigned a new device, your Tech Specialist should be able to restore the most recent backed up files on hand.
