Effective July 2023: If a historical correction is needed on employee's timecard, please submit a ticket to humanresources@kippnj.org.
You should not complete a historical correction for a date in the future. Please make the change directly on the employee's timecard.
To make a historical correction on a staff member's timecard go to the time and attendance module, ADP Workforce Manager, open the three lines menu on the top left of your homepage:
- Expand Time > select Employee Summary. Change the calendar view at the top of the page to only see the dates you need to make the changes for. Click "Select Range' to enter a custom date range
- Scroll and search the employee's name OR click Refine to filter for the employee's name
- If using the condition "starts with" to filter, enter the employee's last name
- Click the check box to the left of the employee's name
- Be sure you have the correct time frame selected
- The options in the bar at the top will highlight in blue. Click Enable Edits
- Select Yes on the confirmation window
- When the window closes, double click on the employee's name to go to the timecard
- On the timecard, make all necessary changes to In and Out times or pay codes
- If there is an approved time off request highlighted in purple, add a new row and enter a negative amount of hours using the old pay code and then add another row and enter the new pay code and new hours. In total, you should have 3 rows for one day.
- Ex: For August 1st, Row 1: Pay Code = PTO, Hours = 8 / Row 2: Pay Code = PTO, Hours= -8 / Row 3: Pay Code= PTO-Sick-Personal, Hours = 8
- After making a change, you will see a diamond appear in the top right of the box you made changes to
- If there is an approved time off request highlighted in purple, add a new row and enter a negative amount of hours using the old pay code and then add another row and enter the new pay code and new hours. In total, you should have 3 rows for one day.
- Make all changes, click Save
- Open the Historical Corrections tab at the bottom of the timecard to confirm all changes were saved successfully
- Historical corrections edits will show in the Totals and Historical Corrections tabs.
