Problem:
SmartBoard Drivers do not install or are not recognized after a USB is plugged in.
Solution
- Restart the computer and press Enter on your keyboard when you see the ThinkPad startup screen (as shown below).
- On the Startup Interrupt Menu (as shown below) Press F1 on your keyboard to select the BIOS Setup Utility.
- Using the Left and Right Arrow Keys, navigate to the Config menu.
- Using the Up and Down Arrow Keys, navigate to the USB selection and press Enter
- Using the Up and Down Arrow Keys, navigate to the USB 3.0 Mode selection and press Enter to change the selection from [Auto] to [Disabled]
- Press F10 on your keyboard and choose [Yes], press Enter to save the changes and restart your computer.
- On your next login, plug in the SmartBoard USB and the drivers will now install automatically.
