KIPP NJ/KIPP Miami Google Security Standards (as of Sept 2019)

As of September 15th 2019, all Link Sharing of Google files/folders will be disabled. You will no longer share Google files (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) or folders by using the Link Sharing options. All Google files/folders will have Link Sharing set to "Off - Specific people".

This means that you must explicitly share each Google file/folder with each collaborator or group of collaborators - whether internal or external. See How do I share Google files/folders? for detailed instructions. (If you have already shared a document with collaborators by sharing with their email addresses or with Google groups, this will remain intact.)

Note: Link Sharing does not apply to Google Shared Drives (formerly Team Drives).

As of September 15th 2019, any Google file/folder that is saved with Link Sharing enabled, will have Link Sharing changed to "Off - Specific people" automatically by a system called BetterCloud.
