This guide outlines how to submit a time off request online in ADP Workforce Now and on the mobile application, ADP Mobile Solutions.
Online in ADP Workforce Now:
On your ADP homepage, go to the "My Time Off" tile and click the Request time off button.
You can also go to Myself > Time Off > My Time Off.
On the My Time Off screen, set the "Balance as of" date to the start date of your request so you can see an accurate count of how many days you have available to request off. Time off balances do not include pending requests.
- Click the "Request time off" button
- On the Time Off Request window, enter the:
- Start Date
- End Date
- Time Off Policy
- "There are no items in this list to display" message appears if you are requesting a date outside of the time off policy assignment period
- The Reason Code and Duration Type will auto populate
- Select the checkbox "Make Recurring" if this request will occur weekly, biweekly, or monthly
- Start Time
- Your start time will default to either 9:00 AM or to the start time on your schedule (for school based staff)
- Hours Per Day
- Hours Per Day will default to and are capped at 8 hours which is considered a full work day
- The minimum amount you can request off in a day is 30 minutes. In this case, enter "0.50" as the Hours Per Day
- After all required fields are complete, you can add in more time if needed. If no additional time off needs to be entered, click the Review button at the bottom of the window
- On the next screen, leave the Approve By Date field blank
- Enter a comment for your manager approving the request. This is optional
- For school-based staff who are submitting a PTO request for Religious Observance, you can enter "Religious Observance" in the comments box. This comment will be visible to your manager or DSO
- Click Submit at the bottom of the window
- You will receive a pop up message that your request was submitted successfully
Requesting time off through the ADP mobile app:
On the mobile app, ADP Mobile Solutions, click the Time Off icon on the top of the screen or click Time Off under Snapshot/Status.
On the Time Off screen, set the "Balance available as of" date to the start date of your request so you can see an accurate count of how many days you have available to request off.
- Click Request Time Off
- Enter the Request Type by selecting the time off policy applicable with your request
- Enter a Start Date
- Enter an End Date
- Start Time
- Your start time will default to either 9:00 AM or to the start time on your schedule (for school based staff)
- Enter the Hours Per Day
- Hours Per Day are capped at 8 hours which is considered a full work day
- The minimum amount you can request off in a day is 30 minutes. In this case, enter "0.50" as the Hours Per Day
- Enter a Comment, if needed
- For school-based staff who are submitting a PTO request for Religious Observance, you can enter "Religious Observance" in the comments box. This comment will be visible to your manager or DSO
- Click Review & submit
- Add in an additional requests, if needed
- Click Submit request at the bottom of the screen
- You will see your request as Completed and in Pending status on the next screen
