As a Time Supervisor, you'll need to regularly review and resolve employee timecard exceptions to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Steps to Review Timecard Exceptions:
- Navigate to My Team > Time & Attendance > Timecard Exceptions.
- Select the desired Pay Period or adjust the date range to view exceptions within a specific timeframe.
- Review the list of employees and the corresponding exceptions displayed.
Exception Color Indicators:
- Red Exceptions: These exceptions require immediate attention as they affect payroll accuracy.
- Blue Exceptions: These are informational exceptions that are provided for supervisors' reference and review.
Key Exceptions to Review:
Red
- Missing In Punch: Employee did not clock in at the beginning of their shift.
- Missing Out Punch: Employee did not clock out at the end of their shift.
Blue
- Clocked In Late / Clocked Out Late: Employee punched in or out later than their scheduled time.
- Clocked In Early / Clocked Out Early: Employee punched in or out before/after their scheduled shift time.
- Overtime Hours Found: Employee has worked overtime that should be reviewed.
- Worked More Hours than Scheduled: Employee exceeded their scheduled working hours.
Resolving Exceptions:
Click directly on an exception to open the editing page for that specific employee.
From here, you can resolve the exception indicated by the highlighted tab, which shows the type of exception you're currently addressing. You can switch between tabs to review or make any necessary adjustments. When finished, click Save to apply your updates.
Alternatively, you can click the employees name and make these adjustments directly on their timecard as well.
- Click on an employee’s name to view their detailed timecard.
- Edit or enter any missing punches directly on the timecard as necessary (Red).
- Review and confirm any overtime or schedule deviations (Blue).
- Click Save at the bottom of the screen to finalize any changes.
