This guide outlines how to cancel a time off request online in ADP Workforce Now on behalf of your direct report. You can cancel requests that are in pending status or approved status.
You have two ways to cancel:
- Go to the Things to Do section on your ADP homepage > select the Pending request
- This path only allows you to cancel if the request is still in pending status
- Go to My Team > Time Off > Lists of Requests
- This view is best used if you want to see requests that are pending, approved, or denied for your direct reports, for a specific date range
- This path allows you to cancel if the request is in pending status or approved status
To cancel a pending request under Things to Do on your ADP homepage:
- Under the Things to Do section on your ADP homepage, click on Employee - Time Off Request
- Locate the request you wish to take action on. Click Review
- A window will display with all request details. Select the Cancel request button
- On the next window, enter a Reason for Canceling. This is optional
- Click Yes
- The pending request is cancelled successfully
To cancel a request under My Team > Time Off > Lists Of Requests:
To cancel a request in pending status:
- On the Pending Requests tab, click on the date of the request under Request Period Amount
- A window with all request details will display
- Click the cancel request button at the bottom of the page
- On the next window, enter a Reason for Canceling. This is optional
- Click Yes
- The request is cancelled successfully
To cancel a request in approved status:
- Click on the Request History tab
- Search or scroll for the employe you need to cancel the request for. When you locate their name, confirm a value other than 0 is displayed in the Request Approved column
- Click on the employee's name. A list of all requests for that specific employee will display in a new window
- Locate the request you need to cancel. Under Action, click Cancel Request
- Enter a Reason for Canceling. This is optional
- Click Cancel request at the bottom of the page to confirm
- The page will refresh and show a banner message indicating the request was processed
